WHAT "SHRUB" AND HIS BAND OF GIRLIE-MEN* ARE UP TO

Dick Morris, the infamous Republican merry prankster, is up to his old tricks, or as Reagan would say, "There you go again!" This time he's hooked up with a new movie to refute Fahrenheit 9/11. The clever title of this cinematic upchuck is "FarenHYPE 911." This waste should have Marshall McLuan and Diogenes rolling over in their graves. It comes out on October 5tH, The same release date for "Fahrenheit 9/11."  Gee whiz, which one should I buy?

NEW! The "Chock Full of It" Award announced!

A new award to be give to the best prevaricator of the month was announced by Left Face! Nominations are welcome and must be accompanied by the facts. After all we are trying to catch the lying right wing whack jobs spewing forth with their best effluvium so there's no point in fighting their bull with more bull.

SOMETIMES THINGS ARE SO SELF EVIDENT...
Jay Nordlinger, National Review Managing Editor:

I thought Kerry did very, very well; and I thought Bush did poorly — much worse than he is capable of doing. Listen: If I were just a normal guy — not Joe Political Junkie — I would vote for Kerry. On the basis of that debate, I would. If I were just a normal, fairly conservative, war-supporting guy: I would vote for Kerry. On the basis of that debate.

Even Bill Kristol couldn't spin this one....

"There was a chance that the president would knock Kerry out of the race tonight. ... I think Kerry survived and I think he did pretty well tonight. Kerry was forceful and articulate," said William Kristol, editor of the Weekly Standard. "He did a pretty good job of making the case that the invasion of Iraq was wrong."

LIARS... a tad strong?

Isn't that a tad stong? The term liars is used in the same context as Al Franken's book "Lies and the lying liars Who Tell Them." The right throws millions of tons of bullshit just to see where it lands and where it sticks. A prime example was the BS story about Ollie North and his government-purchased home security system. He supposedly needed it to protect his family because they were threatened by "the most evil person alive," Osama Bin Laden. Not only was Bin Laden not a threat, he was on "our side" at the time fighting the Soviets in Afghanistan. He became an enemy because the U.S. stationed troops in his homeland, Saudi Arabia, in 1990 in the first Iraq war. The transcripts of the "Iran-Contra" hearing show clearly that the perceived threat was from infamous Palestinian terrorist Abu Nidal, not Osama Bin Laden. The BS story hit every right wing crackpot radio and TV show add infinitum because it made one of "their own" a hero.

*GIRLIE-MEN?

I think Arnold's wording fits "The Bushman and the Artful Dodgers" quite well given the lengths they went to to avoid going to Viet-Nam. Let's cut to the chase~ the Republicans called Bill Clinton a draft dodger, what the hell do you call Dick Cheney ("Had other priorities"), Trent Lott (Served instead as a college cheerleader), Tom DeLay(Claimed there was no room for patriotic folks like himself because minorities had taken up all the slots), Rush Limbaugh(Had anal cysts), Paul Wolfowitz, or John Ashcroft? Chickenhawks? Maybe Arnold has a better term "Girlie-Men!"
